Employment Paperwork

Employment paperwork includes different forms that a newly-hired employee must complete upon joining an organization. Some of these forms are required by the government for tax and employment eligibility purposes – such as the Form W-4 and Form I-9; while others may be required by the hiring company. These latter forms might capture information necessary for processing direct deposit requests, contacting others in case of emergency, ordering employee uniforms, or recording a policy handbook acknowledgment.

By using employee onboarding software, companies can automate the collection and approval of employment paperwork. Streamlining the onboarding process through the use of technological tools helps organizations to reduce the time it takes to collect documents, eliminate the possibility of illegible or incomplete forms and improve new hire’s impression of the employee onboarding process.
