Credit Background Check

Some employers may choose to run credit checks on individuals for certain types of positions – typically finance jobs or management roles with fiduciary responsibility. The Fair Credit & Reporting Act (FCRA) outlines the protocol that employers must follow regarding obtaining permission from a candidate to pull credit history and reporting findings to the individual should they result in the candidate not being hired for a position.

Being compliant in the administration of these notices and adverse action procedures is critical should your organization wish to do a credit background check on a candidate; however, this process can be streamlined by working with an ExactHire background check partner. Launch emails using templates from the HireCentric applicant tracking system inviting individuals to complete web-based release forms for background check authorization.
