Release Notes: Custom Application Questions, Job Question Groups and ZipRecruiter Integration
Happy New Year! We have our “20/20 vision” focused on amazing new feature updates for the new ExactHire product this year!
In this edition of ExactHire Release Notes, we’ll cover new functionality for job application customization and an exciting new job board integration.
Customize Your Employment Application
Create your own standard application questions
While ExactHire’s library of standard employment application questions is quite vast, there may be times that you need to add a question that should be answered by all of your applicants and that is unique to your organization.
Within the Application Template Builder, you may access the question library and search to ensure your preferred question doesn’t already exist. If you cannot find it, then you may create your own new standard question.
For step-by-step instructions on how to create standard employment application questions, check out our tip sheet here.
Create job question groups
Do you like to prompt job seekers to answer a certain set of questions each time you post a particular job listing? Our ExactHire job question groups streamline this process for you.
Navigate to the “Job Question Groups” area from the gear icon in the top right corner and then choose to edit an existing group or add a new group suited for a specific job category.
Once within the group, you may choose existing library questions or add a new question. Then, once you have saved and published your group changes, head over to the “Jobs” dashboard and edit the job listing(s) that should include your new job question group.

Integration with ZipRecruiter
We now have an active job feed with ZipRecruiter. We are happy to activate this feed for a client site upon request. Once the feed is active for a client, all active jobs that appear on the client’s career site will appear in the feed.
When an applicant applies, he will use the ZipRecruiter Quick Apply option, which means that the applicant stays on the ZipRecruiter website to apply. Once the application is completed, ZipRecruiter will send ExactHire the information.
ZipRecruiter also sends ExactHire the ZipRecruiter Apply ID and details whether the candidate was a great match–this information is displayed on the application.
