Social Media Recruiting

Social media recruiting can be described as a subset of recruitment. It includes the sourcing of job applicants via social networking sites. Additionally, it can include the screening of candidates based on information gleaned from their social media profiles.  However, the latter example is something companies should approach carefully and consistently in the hiring process.

It is to the advantage of job seekers to create content-rich social media profiles with detailed descriptions of work experiences, education, skills, certifications, and recommendations. In this way, social recruiters are more likely to find them online when doing candidate searches.

ExactHire applicant tracking software features  social media recruiting tools that allow talent acquisition specialists and existing employees to share job listings with their social networks and track the results of their efforts to make employee referrals.
